Reverend James A. Wenzel, O.S.A. Honored at Evening of Sharing and Caring

MIHCS recently hosted the 2011 Evening of Sharing and Caring at the Andover Country Club. The event was highlighted by the presentation of the St. Marguerite d’Youville Pilgrimage of Love Award to Reverend James A. Wenzel, O.S.A. for his outstanding commitment and dedication to the seniors and the less fortunate in the Merrimack Valley. Speakers included Andreas Widmer, noted entrepreneur; and Meghan McKennan, Augustinian volunteer and recent graduate of Merrimack College. The event was attended by over 400 community and business leaders. The evening would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors including: Thorbahn Associates; Unidine, RehabCare; Home Health Foundation; Callahan Air Conditioning and Heating; Senior Whole Health and Fallon Health Plan among others.

Many members of the Augustinian community joined Fr. Wenzel at the Evening of Sharing and Caring The theme of the evening was service. Speakers included Andreas Widmer, noted author and entrepreneur and Meghan McKennan, Augustinian volunteer. They are joined by Alina Rudnicka-Kelley and Dr. Joseph Kelley, dean of experiential learning at Merrimack College, who presented Fr. Wenzel with his award. Gerard Foley, MIHCS President and CEO, and Fr. Wenzel enjoy the evening Dr. Joseph Kelley presents Fr. Jim with the Pilgrimage of Love award
