New Board Members Elected

The MIHCS Board Development Committee recently recommended a slate of officers and Directors of the Board for 2010-2011. The following appointments were unanimously approved by Covenant Health Systems upon recommendation by the Mary Immaculate Board of Directors. The new directors were seated at the annual meeting of the Mary Immaculate Board and will initially serve a four year term.


New Directors at Mary Immaculate Health/Care Services


Kelly A. Sullivan is the sole proprietor of Sullivan Law Office in Haverhill. Her practice concentrates in the areas of Social Security Disability; real estate; wills and trusts; non profit management consulting; and grant writing and mediation. She earned her law degree from the Massachusetts School of Law in Andover, and her Masters degree in Higher Education Administration from Boston College.

Ms. Sullivan’s previous experience includes serving as the managing attorney for the Disability Law Center in Boston and as the Associate Director for the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation. She also has served as Assistant Dean of Northern Essex Community College in Lawrence.

Ms. Sullivan is a familiar member of the Mary Immaculate family. She was a member of the Board of Directors for many years, including election as Chairman from 2005-2009. Currently, she also serves on the Board of Directors of the Youth Enrichment Center at Hilton-Winn Farm in Cape Neddick (ME) and is an advisory committee member of the Haverhill Clubhouse in Haverhill.


Mary Lou Retelle is currently serving as Vice President for Enrollment and Student Services at Merrimack College in North Andover. Here, her primary focus includes recruiting and retention efforts in addition to overseeing the Division of Student Life and Athletics.

Ms. Retelle attended Merrimack College as an undergraduate, and earned her M.Ed. in student personnel administration at Northeastern University. Her previous experience includes various administrative positions at institutions of higher learning including the State University of New York at Potsdam.

In addition to the new members of the Board, new officers of the Board of Directors have also been elected. Serving for 2010-2011 are:
