MIHCS Hosts CEU Program
MIHCS and Home Health VNA recently teamed up to offer a complimentary CEU program and dinner for area health professionals. The evening featured a presentation by Kenneth M. Tingle, RN, titled “Surviving and Thriving after a Childhood of Poverty and Turmoil in Lawrence.” Mr. Tingle is also the author of the popular book, "The Girl in the Italian Bakery". His personal story includes recollections of life growing up in the projects of Lawrence, and the impact of drugs, poverty and tragedy on his life.
The event was attended by nearly 100 area nurses and social workers, many of whom earned Continuing Education Units for their participation.
